About Charcoal Filters
If you cannot use extraction in your kitchen, then you must install a cooker hood that can recirculate and clean the air. To do this, the hood will need a charcoal filter to absorb cooking smells.
Charcoal filters are also known as carbon filters. The whole process of filtering works by opening up millions of tiny pores between the carbon atoms by treating them with oxygen. This allows the charcoal filter to absorb and trap various impurities. This doesn't mean that all impurities will be trapped. Some are let through hence that's why extractor ducting is probably a better solution.
