When choosing which type of microwave to go for, you will need to first of all decide whether you will need a freestanding one, which can just sit on your counter ready to be used or a built-in microwave, which will need to have a kitchen cabinet built to house the appliance.

The majority come with a stainless steel finish but some of them do also come in black, so you can be sure to find one which will suit the rest of your kitchens design.

Although a bit more costly than your basic microwave, if you decide to go ahead with a built-in one, you can opt for a combination microwave oven, this is a great addition to a kitchen which already has a main single oven as it can provide a second cavity which can act as both a second oven and a microwave all wrapped in to 1 appliance!
